Skiathos Greece, located at lat/long 39°10' N 23°29' E, is a very green island covered by a thick pine forest and considered as a protected environment. The Greek island of Skiathos forms part of the Sporades islands which is a marine sanctuary and provides the best sailing in Greece.
Skiathos in the magnificent area of Sporades is an ideal area for RYA training and Yacht Chatering with good winds, safe overnight anchorages.
The port of Skiathos is less than a 5 min taxi ride from the Airport and we will meet you at the Fresh Café, where you will be introduced to your Base Manager/instructor.
Lagoon like beaches, deserted islands, safe anchorages and BBQ's on the beach are what you may expect. You may also see dolphins and seals. We chose this location as we believe it is possibly the most beautiful area of Greece to sail in whilst still offering relatively unexplored waters. Flights arrive direct into Skiathos from major UK airports on Friday (Gatwick, East Mids, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow etc).
